Hearken
(heark·en) (här-kən)
(verb.) To give respectful attention.
If you’re here, you’re perhaps thinking about talking to somebody.
Reaching out for help isn’t easy. It can be confusing and scary, putting us out of our comfort zones.
Whether it’s an attempt to grow or to process something painful, to adapt or to explore something challenging, sometimes we get the sense that we can’t do everything on our own. We feel the wish for someone to be alongside us as we try to process or make sense of things.
Therapy gives you that opportunity.
If you’re new to therapy, or even if you’ve been before, I always suggest we start with an initial session. This gives you a chance to find out what therapy with me might be like, and to see how you feel about working with me. It also gives us a chance to talk about why you’re reaching out at this time.
